Live 80s band at Doc Willoughby's!
Val Kilmer and the New Coke is a five piece band that has made the Kootenays grow a special place in their hearts for the 80s. Based out of Nelson the band has relentlessly toured ski towns and major cities all over BC and Alberta since 2010. Playing at events like Shambhala Music Festival, Unity Festival, Kamp Festival, Griz Days in Fernie, as well as working with Whitewater Ski Resort, Big White, Retallack, and Red Mountain have been some of the highlights over the years.
There are many 80s bands out there, but none do it quite like Kilmer. Fronted by their lovely and talented vocalist/keyboard/synth player the band not only slays the 80s cheese but provides with it an extraordinary commentary that will leave you speechless and bursting into laughter at the same time.
Some of the band's favourite songs include Eye of the Tiger, Walk Like an Egyptian, Da ya Think I'm Sexy, Blue Monday, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and many more...
