Weekly Class Description: August 13th – Next Step Figure Drawing
An opportunity for all levels, to further develop their figure drawing skills. Building on the past figure drawing class concepts, this class will focus on figure proportion, structure, tonal modeling and expression of line. Classily structured, the class will have gesture, contour, continuous line, and negative space exercises in addition to the timed poses. Figure drawing techniques such as, line of action, proportion mapping, rule of thumb, intersecting lines, and negative space will be reviewed. Attendees at the end of the class will have drawn a proportioned
figure with realistic and/or expressionistic tonal modeling
