Come tune up your audition skills in a positive and challenging setting!
After the success of his nation-wide Shakespeare workshops, Shake-Scenes, Christopher is heading back to Kelowna to offer actors individualized training in both classical and contemporary text.
Following an ensemble warm up and exercises, participants will have a minimum of 30 minutes of in depth work through their pieces. Participants will learn pragmatic visualization & rehearsal tactics, pre-performance strategies, how to effectively access subtext, and ways to play with your audience through one-on-one consultations. Most importantly, participants will learn to make an honest and vivid connection to your character's story.
Participants will learn techniques for preparing their auditions, and how to handle the curve-balls being introduced in modern audition rooms, followed by a final group discussion with clear and concise feedback.

PRAISE FOR CHRISTOPHER’S WORKSHOPS
Christopher is a fantastic teacher and coach. He is caring, wise, and gifted at working with actors. He is Splinter to all us Ninja Turtles.- Joel Bernbaum Sum Theatre
Christopher Weddell is with me wherever I go. And when I say this, I mean he teaches his students tools in which they can use for their work in Shakespeare, theatre, film and television. His process of work is very detailed but still very efficient. He pushes his students to commit to the character and story that needs to be told. During the difficult times where I thought to give up on a scene or story, Christopher did not. I am forever thankful for his guidance and knowledge- Louriza Tronco (Star of Nickolodeon's Make It Pop)
I have worked with Christopher many times. His depth of understanding helps you to find truth in your work and to truly appreciate and love the text. - Dr. Yvette Lu
I want to thank him for putting me on a path I don't think I would have found on my own. And, for fostering a passion in me.- Kayvon Kelly (Bard On The Beach)
