LinkedIn? Yes...Really!
Let's be honest. You probably have a LinkedIn profile, but don't know what to do with it. Or maybe you never signed up because you haven't seen the value.
Now more than ever, LinkedIn is a resource that can help you expand your network and create real connections in a world where we currently cannot in-person.
Whether you’re a complete beginner to the world of LinkedIn, or wanting to move from being a passive to active user - learn why and how you can benefit from it.
This special two-hour workshop includes a live streamed webinar, followed by an optional work session where you can immediately start implementing those tips with educators and mentors to assist and answer your questions.
Schedule:
5 - 6 p.m. PST - Live Webinar - Learn from LinkedIn pro Jennifer Grant of Jennifer Grant International, who will use her expertise to guide you through how to unleash the potential of your profile.
6 - 7 p.m. PST - Work Session - Time to make that profile magic! Our educators and mentors will be available virtually and in-person to help and answer any questions.
You will learn:
What LinkedIn is and why you should care about it
How Using LinkedIn can provide value to your career
First steps to get started
How to create a positive first impression on your profile
What to include on your profile if you are a student or recent grad
How to optimize key areas of your LinkedIn Profile
Tips and tricks including the use of keywords and SEO, customizing your URL, gathering recommendations and endorsements and more!
A free ticket option is available for students currently attending a post-secondary institution in the Okanagan (student id required).
A very limited number of in-person tickets are also available to attend the event live at Staples Studio Kelowna, and follow all current COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including distanced seating and mandatory masks.
All registered participants will also receive a video recording of the workshop.
