Family-to-Family Education Course
Free, eight-week, online mental illness education course for families, significant others and friends of a loved one living with a mental illness across B.C.
Starting: Monday, October 4 | Online | Registration is free but spaces are limited
Topics include: information on mental illnesses, treatments and therapies, navigating the B.C. mental health system, compassion-centered communication, handling a crisis, advocating for care, managing negative feelings and self care, and much more.
This evidence-based course is designed to empower those of you caring for a loved one with a mental illness, and give you the tools, knowledge, strength and confidence to better care not only for your ill loved one, but yourself too. Family-to-Family is delivered by trained volunteers with living experience.
Please note that this course is for families, significant others and friends of a loved one with a mental illness, including anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, borderline personality disorder, concurrent disorders, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
Families must reside in B.C and/or have an ill loved one residing in B.C.
