The Asian Invasion: a Paisley Notebook Collaboration
The Paisley Notebook was created to change perceptions, make people think and bring our community together, one long table dinner at a time.
The Paisley Notebook's creator, Aman Dosanj is shifting gears with the first collaboration dinner by The Paisley Notebook. Dubbed 'The Asian Invasion', the collaborative menu (which will remain a surprise) will feature Vietnamese by Tina Tang, Taiwanese by Shu-Han Lin and Indian by Aman Dosanj, without Pho, Steamed Buns or Butter Chicken in sight. The idea - to show how 'Asian' food is more than just cheap food.
Join us for a night of edible storytelling at Saj Common Kitchen (Tutt Street) on Saturday, October 28, where each cook will share stories about growing up in their Asian households. You can expect a 4-course meal with 3 cocktail pairings by 'bartender brother', Harry Dosanj. The pop up will also feature a cash bar with Harry serving up Okanagan wines and a local craft beer.
This event features a set menu and unfortunately, due to the stereotype breaking nature of this event, allergy requests and substitutions may not be accommodated. Arrive at 5:30pm for a 6pm dinner (please and thank you).
