MNP Canada Games Torch Relay
Be a part of history and celebrate the historic MNP Canada Games Torch Relay as it winds through downtown Kelowna on Friday, November 30, 2018. Starting at 3:30, cheer on local athletes and prominent community members as they proudly carry the Canada Games Torch from Stuart Park, up Bernard Avenue and along Ellis Street, to then promenade back to Stuart Park. There will be loads of fun at the park from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Not only can you enjoy hot chocolate and snacks, fun games, a HockeyShot contest, prizes, and a photo booth – it’s opening day for the outdoor skating rink! Meet top young athletes on their way to Red Deer and the 2019 Canada Winter Games, take a photo with Games mascot Waskasoo and take a spin around the rink to commemorate the spirit of the Canada Games and the inaugural coast-to-coast Torch Relay.
Let’s make some noise and show our support for this incredible Canadian initiative!
