IWC Poetry Slam Featuring Syren and the Waves
Literature and Spoken Word , Music — Collective Creation, Discussion
IWC 1st Poetry Slam featuring local poets competing for bragging rights as Kelowna's best, as decided by audience applause! The slam runs three rounds, with eight poets starting in round 1, four poets moving on to round 2, and finally, two poets going head to head for the crown.
Syren and the Waves will bring a little mermaid magic in the form of sound waves to the night. Bring your high energy and dancing shoes!
Join IWC as we celebrate the arts/culture in Kelowna. The Heritage Museum and IWC are a part of the Culture Crawl Kelowna stop.
Inspired Word Cafe (IWC) continues to be the hottest open mic vehicle in the Kelowna area and the Okanagan valley offering poetry, spoken word, and music.
The power of poetry is more an invitation into how we see, feel, listen and interpret the world through how we see, feel, listen and interpret self. - Rawle Iam -
