January 17, 2019

Location: Rotary Centre for the Arts
Address: 421 Cawston Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6Z1
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

2019-01-17 19:00:00 2019-01-17 20:30:00 America/Vancouver Switch It On The music, dance and spoken word poetry show is based on a take-off of the theatre term “Find your Light”. In theatre, it means finding the bright light in which you perform best. In the Switch It On broader base definition, it means finding your personal light where you live or perform best as a person in our world. That could be finding your passion, finding your comfort, finding your zen or finding your love. It is about finding the real you and what that means for you. Studio9 students will perform some original musical numbers as well as some remakes. Dancers will communicate through dance, musicians/singers with original music chosen songs and the poets, of course, will be writing original works to perform live. The students may challenge norms, push their personal limits and create an evening of thought and entertainment for everyone. See what today’s youth are seeing for themselves and their world using words, music and movement. Proceeds of this event will be donated to Mamas for Mamas Rotary Centre for the Arts 421 Cawston Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6Z1 events@kelownanow.com
