Join us to celebrate International Pinotage Day! The View Winery is one of the few wineries in the Okanagan that grows this unique South African grape. Our original vines were imported and planted in 1998. We invite you to an exclusive tasting of our complete Pinotage lineup paired with small bites in honour of this special day.
Featured wines include our distinctive White Pinotage, elegant Pinotage Rosé and of course our signature Pinotage Reserve. You can expect some vertical tasting opportunities as well which allow you to experience the wines in their youthful phase versus older vintages with interesting aging related developments.
The Pinotage Association states that "there is so much to talk about when the topic of Pinotage comes up. From historic tales of creation – merging Pinot Noir and Hermitage (Cinsaut) grapes by Prof Perold – to today’s legends crafting the latest Pinotage or Pinotage blends. The Pinotage tale is one worth well telling and should always end where it is enjoyed with friends, food or maybe even somewhere alone with a bottle of Pinotage as your company."
We honour the spirit of these great words and look forward to sharing our Pinotage with you.
$10 per person, no reservations required.

All our wines & ciders are made with our estate grown grapes and apples on 112 acres in South East Kelowna. Our vintage packinghouse that we operate out of was built in 1922 by Great Grandpa Ward. 64 acres of our land is home to apple orchard where we grow cider specific apples for our Wards ciders. Our vines take up the remaining 48 acres where we grow site specific, terrior driven aromatic wines.
