2018-09-13 21:00:00 2018-09-13 02:00:00 America/Vancouver Scott Decoste- East Coast Party New Glasgow, Nova Scotia Canada native, Scott deCoste began his music career early in life. Through influences of his father's family band, the Surfsiders and later the infamous Irish-Traditional Back Water Band, Scott the musician, was born. Although not very intrigued by the style of his father's music at the time, or even shortly thereafter, he experimented with many styles on his own. Little did he know that the traditional and folk sounds that surrounded his childhood would emanate years later. Scott started singing and playing guitar at age 16, after years of playing other instruments in school bands. For deCoste music is a therapeutic medium. In some form or another, Scott had the honor to open for the following artists: Suzie McNeil, Matt Minglewood, April Wine, Ron Hines, Charlie A'Court, JP Cormier, Dave Gunning, Blue Rodeo and Sloan. He also auditioned and performed on the 2006 season of Canadian Idol as a top 100 finalist in Toronto. Scott has performed in East Coast Music Association showcases and has made Breakfast Televsion appearances. Studio sessions with George Canyon & Dave Gunning. Doc Willoughbys events@kelownanow.com
