lecture - THE INTRICACIES OF WOLVES by John & Mary Theberge. The Theberges’ presentation, illustrated with slides, describes the several wolf species and subspecies and their prey in various parts of North America. Their talk also focuses on their current wolf research in Yellowstone and with the Mexican wolves in Arizona, and the results of their previous, intensive wolf-prey research in Algonquin Park, Ontario and its conservation success. John and Mary Theberge are wildlife ecologists who have spent more than 30 years studying and promoting the conservation of wildlife and wild places in Canada. They are two of the foremost wolf experts in North America, and their recently-completed 14 year study of wolves in Algonquin Park is among the most intensive ever undertaken of the species. They have written 2 books and many scientific and popular papers on wolf behaviour and ecology.
