Conlanging: The Art of Crafting Tongues - Presented by the UBC Language Sciences
Join the UBC Language Sciences Initiative for our screening of the documentary Conlanging: The Art of Crafting Tongues. In addition to the film, we welcome four specialists in constructed languages for a panel discussion of their work:
Christine Schreyer, Language creator for Man of Steel and Alpha (University of British Columbia - Okanagan)
David Peterson, Language creator for HBO's Game of Thrones and many others
Paul Frommer, Language creator of Na'vi for Avatar (University of Southern California)
Marc Okrand, Language creator of Klingon for the Star Trek series
Please note that at this time we are awaiting confirmation of the film rating from Consumer Protection BC. If you have questions or concerns, please contact language.sciences@ubc.ca.
