Spring Book Sale
Saturday April 29, 10am - 4pm and Sunday April 30, 9am - 12 noon
Due to the popular response to our past sales at the Capital News Centre venue, this April sale will be across 2 DAYS!
There will be no item costing more than $2! The sale tables will be loaded with books from over 200 boxes, comprising ORL library withdrawals and public donations. Books will be hopping off the tables into the arms of enthusiastic readers and bargain hunters, to give them new homes and renewed lives!
Funds raised support year-round baby, childrens & teens programming, Summer Reading Club, guest speakers & author events, special new facilities and more ...
at Kelowna, Mission and Rutland branch libraries of the Okanagan Regional Library.
In 2016, Friends funded almost $7000 towards the three branches wishlists. This May FOL will contribute about $11,000 to wishlists; of this, $6000 will go towards performers, prizes, and crafts for the upcoming Summer Reading Club, Walk on the Wild side!
From all our 2016 book sales, Friends contributed another $11000 towards special projects and programming across the ORL system.
Every book purchased and every sale success means the better Friends can meet those library needs!
If you have any further enquiries for information, you may contact Pamela Leco (President & Sale co-ordinator) at phone 250-215-4175 or in reply to this email. I can be reached in reply to this email or by phone during office hours at my workplace at Okanagan College Library (7625445 ext 4749)
