Spectrum Singers Choral Concert

1969-12-31 19:30:00 1969-12-31 16:00:00 America/Vancouver Spectrum Singers Choral Concert This December 9th and 10th join the Spectrum Singers for their well-loved holiday concert series at St. Michael's Cathedral, titled "In The Spirit of... “, as they celebrate the season with joyous song! "In The Spirit of..." is brimming with stunning renditions of classic carols such as "Silent Night" (arr. by Darmon Meader) and "Veni, Veni, Emmanuel" (arr. by Michael John Trotta) and toe tapping spirituals including "Battle of Jericho" (arr. by Mark Hayes).  The Spectrum Singers are known for their challenging pieces and will not disappoint with songs featuring Latin, German, French, and Russian lyrics!   This is the eighth holiday concert series from the Spectrum Singers under the direction of Kim Kleineberg.  This season the choir will be joined by guest director Rudi Kronhardt (who is also a bass singer in the choir), the Okanagan Children's Choir (directed by Frances Chiasson), the Kelowna Community Music School Youth Choir (directed by Laura Mireau), and instrumentalists Elizabeth Wock, Lonnie Burma, Darko Cuk, and Stephen Buck. "In The Spirit of..." will take place at St. Michael's Cathedral on December 9th and 10th.  Doors will open at 7pm and the show will start at 7:30pm.  Tickets are available at Mosaic Books downtown on Bernard Ave. and the UPS Store in West Kelowna (near Save-On Foods) or any choir member.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and children.
