The simple premise follows army veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who have a successful song-and-dance act, who follow two singing sisters to Vermont with romance on their minds. They soon discover that the nearly bankrupt lodge the sisters were scheduled to perform at happens to be owned by their former commander. Nostalgia and duty combine to result in new romance, renewed friendship, and a revival of the resort. Randy Leslie is reprising the role of Bob Wallace, originally played by Bing Crosby. Leslie is the Artistic Managing Director of Kelowna Actors Studio and is well-loved by audiences for his performances in Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde - The Musical, and Gomez Addams in The Addams Family - The Musical. He is the recipient of several arts awards including the City of Kelowna Honour in the Arts. Co-founder of KAS, Nathan Flavel, plays fellow-veteran, Phil Davis. Flavel is also no stranger to the KAS stage, having played in Cabaret, Mary Poppins, The Rocky Horror Show, and Shrek - The Musical. He has also won a number of local civic, business and arts awards. Anna Jacyszyn, who is very at home on the KAS stage, has worked as a professional jazz singer for the past 30 years, performing and touring with world-class musicians from around the globe, portrays Betty Haynes. Making her Kelowna Actors Studio debut, as Anna’s sister, is Sidney Cummings as Judy Haynes. A recent graduate of The Canadian College of Performing Arts, and trained as a classical singer, Sidney's recent credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Margaret Schwartz in The Triangle Factory Fire Project and a featured dancer in the TD Festival of New Works. She also recently performed at Birdland Jazz Club in New York City, and has performed at Herman's Jazz Club in Victoria, BC. General Henry Waverly, whom the group sacrifices their holiday plans to help, is played by Jason Casey, who just completed work as Ernst Ludwig in Cabaret for the Studio. Karen Shale, in her 17th KAS production, plays Martha Watson, the General’s housekeeper, who doubles as a sort of inn manager and all-around busybody. Playing Susan Waverly, the General’s committed granddaughter is newcomer Deslyn Bach. Other featured performances include Kirk Holland in dual roles as Ezekiel, the lethargic New England handyman and Ralph Sheldrake, a producer on the Ed Sullivan Show. Newcomers Emily MacArthur and Ashley Kendall are the man-hungry chorus girls Rita and Rhoda; Alex Holowaty is the flamboyant stage manager of the Wallace and Davis Show and Kristal Hunter is Tessie and Sheldrakes secretary. Rounding out the cast are newcomers Matt McLaughlin, Tayler Harrison, Olivia Cortens and Michael Gagliano and Kelowna Actors Studio regulars include Madeleine Molgat, Cassidy Hergott, Emma White, Quinn Armstrong, Braelyn Dillon, Mikayla Miyashita, Nicholas Madsen, Jerome Laroche and Cayle Cronquist.
