Meadowlark Festival
The greatest outdoor festival in Canada with over 70 interactive events that explore the natural environment of the Okanagan Similkameen. Visit Canada’s unique desert environment in the south, up to the alpine meadows high above the valley floor.
Geared to appeal to a wide cross-section of people and interests, it includes canoe trips, guided hikes, film screenings, Aboriginal culture, inspirational speakers, bird watching tours, back-country horseback riding, geological tours, astronomy events, art exhibitions, photography, writing and painting workshops, historic hikes and more. There is truly something for everyone!
Each event is led by an expert in their field such as a biologist, botanist, historian, geologist, naturalist, aboriginal knowledge keeper, astronomer, herpetologist, artist, etc. Groups are kept small so that participants get an informative up-close-and-personal experience. Check out these great tours and book before they fill up: https://meadowlarkfestival.ca/2018-at-a-glance/
