Future of Camping Includes Inflatable Tents

Nothing is worse than fumbling around with metal poles while being eaten alive by mosquitoes and attempting to set up a tent.

If you’re in the market for a new way to camp this summer and maybe want something that is a little more futuristic, you might want to check out inflatable tents by Heimplanet.

The German company has a line of tents that use airbeams instead of metal roads to set up. Tents are erected by simply pumping air into them and they take about a minute to fill.

While air is lightweight, these tents are made to withstand even the fiercest of storms. Take the Maverick for instance, this tent is 140 square feet in size, and is the most wind-resistant tent in the world. It can withstand 111mph winds thanks to its Inflatable Diamond Grid exoskeleton.

Currently the geniuses behind the company have released three tents, Wedge, Cave and Maverick.

Need some more convincing that this tent is awesome? Check out a video demo of their products.
