It’s no surprise that the Okanagan dominated a list of best restaurants for wine lovers.
Nine of the 50 restaurants that made the nationwide list are located in B.C.’s wine country, ranging from Lake Country to Oliver.
The list was produced by OpenTable and was based on 515,000 restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 2,000 Canadian restaurants.
“As Canada’s winemaking industry flourishes and a growing number of Canadians are choosing wine as their drink of choice, many restaurants are thoughtfully curating wine lists designed to complement their menu and expand diners’ palates,” said Caroline Potter, OpenTable’s Chief Dining Officer.
“From establishments with a seasoned sommelier to those serving a more casual glass of rosé, these restaurants are recognized by guests for their commitment to delicious food and an outstanding wine selection.”
Provincially, Ontario led the way with 20 restaurants on the list, while B.C. came in second with 13.
