Battuto, a small diner in Quebec has taken the number one spot as Canada's best restaurant of 2017.
The list, compiled by Air Canada's enRoute magazine features the top 10 restaurants from across the country.
Battuto is a 20-seat Italian diner where Chef Guillaume St-Pierre and his team of three serve up top dishes in a 400-square foot location.
Some of the menu items include Charlevoix-pork lonza, grilled octopus and more.
Edmonton blew the competition out of the water with three restaurants making the list, including, Clementine, Café Linnea and Alder Room.
"The cocktail scene has always been strong, and there's clearly a passion for creating art on the plate, too," stated Andrew Braithwaite, restaurant critic.
Other cities who made the top ten include, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
Signature dishes from the restaurants called upon unique ingredients such as Humboldt squid masquerading as udon noodles, plums sitting in for olives, and ice cream concoctions using various fermentations of koji-infused barley.
