What do you always find yourself saying?
What should we eat for dinner tonight? (I am trying to do meal planning, but it does not always happen!)

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
It’s pretty easy to answer this question, it would be my little niece who is just over a year old and i still haven't met her! I am looking forward to spend a day with her!

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
“Best of Kelowna 2016”

If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
It would be pretty awesome to meet Queen Elizabeth I and try on some of the beautiful dresses they wore in the 16th century.

Who inspires you?
Dani Johnson - she is a gifted speaker, trainer and spirit-driven success coach who went from living out of her car with $2.03 to her name, to becoming a millionaire by the age of 23! I have read few of her books and listened to many of her seminars and they have been inspirational for me personally, for my business and for our family!

What are three things on your bucket list?
Go on a road trip on Highway 101 along the Pacific Ocean.
Go on a food adventure in Paris
Learn to play the guitar.

If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
“Jenny”… great movie!

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
I am happy to not know what lays ahead in my future!

What are you passionate about?
There are so many things. I am passionate about love, art, nature, health and fitness, family, faith, dance, learning, music, and friends to name a few.

What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
The day my husband asked me if I would like to be his girlfriend and try to have a “long distance” relationship! Well.. it worked! We have been married for almost six years, and we have two very active boys and I am still so in love with him.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Giving birth to my two sons! They are my greatest accomplishment as well and the greatest lifelong adventure!

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
I will say Poppadoms, as I love Indian food. My family and I love the atmosphere there and the food is always amazing! We have only lived in Kelowna for six months and there are still so many amazing places to discover!

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
As for a family with young children, we love that Kelowna has great facilities and activities for families like ours. We love H2O, Jump 2 It & Energy Plex.

Rustic Chalk Decor is a home based business in Kelowna, that creates and hand paints unique pieces of art on wood boards. Rustic Chalk Decor offers private and public wood sign painting workshops in Kelowna and other towns in the Okanagan.

What is your mission?
Rustic Chalk Decor's mission is to run an honest and well organized business that provides unique entertainment for locals and tourists in the Okanagan area.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
I would love to have my own studio where I can host the wood sign painting workshops and other fun workshops.

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
I would love to have franchises and be able to provide wood sign painting workshops across Canada!

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Rustic Chalk Decor's forerunners could be someone who offers art classes, but I believe my business is unique.

What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
I believe Rustic Chalk Decor has high work ethic and high standards for quality, it exemplifies creativity and innovation.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
It can be very hard to find an employee whom you trust, with whom you get along well with and who shares a similar quality and life standards as you do. I can truly say I am very lucky to have Tarra being part of my business. We met through our church, she came to a couple of my wood sign painting workshops, we created an amazing friendship and now she is part of the Rustic Chalk Decor team!

How does your business/organization impact the community?
Art brings people together and Rustic Chalk Decor provides entertainment all year round for locals as well as tourists in Kelowna and other towns in the Okanagan area. The wood signs painting workshops gives a reason for family and friends get together, connect, entertain and create unique artwork.

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
If there could be business advisors, marketing specialists and a good friend that would be the best scenario. I would love to hear they story and how they got where they are now!

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
There is this one thing - we need soccer fields with outdoor lighting.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
There are so many amazing things about this city like the lake and mountains, but most of all, its people! With my business, I get to meet lots of new people every week and I have to say that people in Kelowna and West Kelowna are very welcoming, loving, and caring!
