Michael Rowland “the Ghost Guy”

What do you always find yourself saying?
Everything is in Divine right order…regardless of my opinion about it. That is to say that in every experience, every situation there is a divinity, a purpose, a gift regardless of how we judge the experience as positive or negative, overly joyful or our darkest hour.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
Neale Donald Walsch, the author or Conversations with God, to share his experiences and learn something from those.

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
I do not desire awards. If I can make a difference in people’s lives, that is enough of an award.

If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Jesus. I would love to experience the energy of being in his presence and I could learn so much from him. I would want more than just one day.

Who inspires you?
Humanity inspires me. I am always in awe of the creativity, the compassion, and the extraordinary abilities demonstrated by people around the globe. I do not worry about the future of humanity because we continue to demonstrate our compassion and capacity to support one another, to gather together in order to overcome any challenge placed in our path. We just need to do more of what benefits the whole of humanity.

What are three things on your bucket list?
Travel to the spiritual places on the planet and connect with the people who live there.
Meet some of the open minded thinkers on the planet such as Matt Kahn, Nassim Haramein, and Dr. Bruce Lipton, and others.
Live on a tropical beach until I have had my fill.

If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
I love the water. I would make it my home and I would name it “One Spirit”

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
I have in the past been a future oriented person and have spent the last 10 years learning to live in the moment. I enjoy the adventure of life so I could not choose such a day. Where would be the mystery and magic in knowing?

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about adventure – people, places, experiences.
I am passionate about the environment.
I am passionate about freedom in all ways.

What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
There are two days that stand out. The day that each of my two daughters were born. Seeing the miracle of birth and holding them just minutes after being born, and not giving them up for several hours, until the nurses had to shoo me away.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
I don’t know if the word is proud but I feel my greatest accomplishment is to become more of who I am at my core. To become more vulnerable, more authentic and express who I am with everyone, in all situations, all the time. I am not sure if I will get there fully, but the rewards are immeasurable, even with how much I have accomplished so far.

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
I don’t really have a favourite place. I love to explore and try new places and different types of food. There are so many interesting and unique places to dine in Kelowna. I love it.

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
I love the music in the parks during the summer. I very much value all of the people involved and their efforts in organizing and bringing these free events for all of us to enjoy. Thank you.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Healing Haunted Houses

What does your business/organization do?
We work with people in three different ways. The first is clearing spirits and negative energies from peoples’ homes, themselves and all of the occupants living in the house, including pets. We do this because energies can transfer from one person to another. Most of the information regarding this is on our web site. We only remove energies that do not serve you or are not in your highest and best good. Because earthbound spirits and other energies can transfer from person to person, or house to person, or vise versa, we check the house and all of the occupants, as well as pets, to ensure that all of the energies are identified for clearing. The work is done remotely and having a free evaluation done is usually a good place to start.

Secondly, we provide energetic Land Healing sessions. Recently, especially during this past couple of years of energetic shifts, we have been presented with the need not only for energetic clearings but the need to conduct Energetic Healings for the land. An energetic healing differs from a clearing through a process that accesses a deeper energetic level not only removing negative energetic attachments, but also healing the vibration of trauma that is embedded in the land. Sites of massacre, ritual killings, deep violence and other atrocities hold a negative residual vibration…and this vibration can remain in the ground far longer than historical memory. As mankind continues to inhabit and exploit more of the earth, the number of energetically affected sites is increasing…to a critical point.

We also offer training to empower people to conduct clearings of their own energy field and their own environments, as well as working with other people’s energy fields. Everyone can do this type of energetic clearing. I do not have anything that others do not have, except some training and lots of practice.

What is your mission?
To get as many people as possible to learn to clear their own energy fields and to work with others. In doing this they develop their own intuitive or ESP abilities and experience of connecting with Universal Spirit, Source, or God depending upon their beliefs. Regardless of the label, the experience of this connection moves people from a faith based position to a one of knowing. Once this connection is strong and clear we can become free of fear and limitation.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
Have every person on the planet realize and develop their innate intuitive abilities, or ESP as some call it, to use these abilities to connect to that which is much greater than ourselves, and through which we can experience the awe and wonder of our lives within a much larger context. As we progress into this awareness and release our fear, we as people will share our experiences and in doing so realize that our ‘unusual’ experiences are quite common among us. When we share our experiences more fully, we will start to realize that we all have intuitive abilities or ESP and learn to use these natural abilities to have a greater experience of what else is going on around us and within us.

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
Being of greater service to God, Universal Spirit, Source, The Great Spirit, and Humanity (all are just labels) in whatever way I can.

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
The field in which I work is complex, as is the rest of the universe. Although simple at its core, there is a complexity of interacting ‘systems’ and concepts that we yet do not fully understand and we may never. So there are really many forerunners, now and in the past, working in, learning about and attempting to understand more. All of these ‘explorers’ are contributing to the whole by adding their pieces to the puzzle. I believe that no one person will ever be able to fully understand the complexity of the universe and how everything is connected. I believe that each and every one of us has a piece of that puzzle and only through sharing will we ever gain a greater understanding. So in the big picture we all are forerunners, every one of us is required and contributing. No one of us has all the answers, or ever will!

One point of clarification – complexity is not the same as complicated. ‘Complicated’ is a function of humanity, complexity is naturally occurring.

What main qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
A reverence or sacredness for the ‘work’ that I do, for the people that I serve and for energies involved at all levels.
A deep respect for the people whose energy fields I work with, for the energies that surround us and those that support us on this journey. That respect also includes those people who do not believe.
A commitment to be of service both to Source and the people I serve.
Taking my work seriously but not myself. I can laugh and have fun with clients and with being ‘the Ghost Guy’.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
I love you, I believe in you, and I thank you for bringing who you are into my life.

How does your business/organization impact the community?
People are what make a community; otherwise all we would have are land and buildings. What I do helps people to be more of their unique selves and express their uniqueness resulting in a diverse and respectful community. Our organization helps to open up dialog/communication among people about their experiences? So many hold their stories inside, afraid to share for risk of being ridiculed. Most people have had some sort of first hand paranormal experience. It's time to come out of the closet and share. That would help tremendously to alleviate the fear factor and to have a greater awareness of all that is going on around us.

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
These people would not need to be experts in any field, only people who are visionaries and understand human potential. I would talk to them about creating an educational system for children that furthers their awareness of the miracles that they are and the wonders of the universe around them, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large. Things that we see and understand, as well as those that we don’t see and have yet to fully understand.

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
Shorten the gray winters or even better, having only three seasons would be wonderful – Spring, Summer, Autumn.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Being a small city with an airport, lots of waterfront parks, a vibrant and thriving downtown core, the abundance of artists and musicians, the thriving holistic wellness industry, and the city’s investment in public places, and events. Such a fabulous place to live.

Some general comments I would like to share are:
When I connect to do the work that I do, if feels like I have connected with a gentle love and compassion; a place where everything is known and all I need to do is ask. For me, it feels sort of like being a child full of wonder and connecting with a loving parent. At times when I ‘feel into’ this place in a deeper way, I feel this unconditional love that is so overwhelming that I don’t have the capacity to hold it, to feel its intensity for more than several minutes. I can’t imagine what it would be like without this connection in my life.
