What is your name?
Natasha Harvey

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I was born in Kelowna at KGH! I have also lived in Vancouver, and Auckland, New Zealand.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I don’t have one favourite person to send time with. I have a lot of amazing friends and a great family. I value time spent with each individual in my life and am grateful for them and their special qualities.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I would go to Scotland. I have always wanted to travel there. It is a part of my heritage and the culture and history fascinates me.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Oh man, again, it is hard to choose one! I love Zangbell and Gill. It is a brilliant mid century modern and vintage store. The owners are lovely and the shop is absolutely unique in that it is both quirky and cool.

What is your favourite activity?
I love to create.

If you had to choose: pizza, tacos, or burgers?
Burgers.

What is a hidden gem you enjoy in the Okanagan?
It isn’t that hidden, but there is a spot on Knox Mountain that is quiet and has the most beautiful views of the lake and Okanagan Valley.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
My daughter pulled down my bikini bottoms at the H2O. So embarrassing!!!

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I feel inspired every time I put a brush to a canvas. It is an outlet for each inspirational observation I’ve had in my world.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I used to love to paint and draw with my Grandmother. We would paint outside in her garden. It was a quiet, creative time filled with love.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have donated pieces of artwork and money for various causes.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I would eliminate war.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
I love spending time outdoors in Kelowna. It is so beautiful here. I hike whenever I can and am always blown away by the scenery.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Anywhere outside in nature, Crawford, Knox, Boucherie, to name a few places.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
I have already witnessed positive change in Kelowna’s creative community and want to see it to continue to grow. Kelowna’s art community is fortunate to have some very passionate and involved individuals who are making things happen in our town. I love seeing art used for fundraising and public awareness of important community causes. I also love the initiatives that are being taken to encourage public art and make art more prominent in the community.

If you could be granted one wish for work or in life, what would it be?
I would ask for happiness and love.
