What is your name?
Lindsay Papp
What do you always find yourself saying?
I find myself reminding my inquisitive children (aged three and five) that we are all born different, and that's what makes us so special.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Richard Branson, because he seems to have it all figured out, not to mention, with all that money, a day with him would have to be fun!
If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
I really could care less if I ever win an award… I just hope that everyone I connect with walks away feeling a little bit better than they did before.
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
I wish I had a more sophisticated answer but I would probably choose Elvis so we could perform on stage together…I can’t sing or dance but it would be fun to fake it for a day.
Who inspires you?
My two children… They have taught me more about love, compassion, (and finding joy in the simple things) than I ever could have imagined. And when I really think about it, I can usually find something inspiring in everyone I meet.
What are three things on your bucket list?
Take my children to Africa, renew my wedding vows in Bora Bora on our 10th wedding anniversary, hang out in the middle of the jungle with National Geographic photographers, and see what they see first hand.
If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
I will name my enormous yacht after I take it out on the water for the first time.
If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
I wouldn't. I like to be surprised.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my family, my friends, and making this world a kinder, gentler, more compassionate place.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
I have three: the day I married my husband, the day my daughter was born, and the day my son was born.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Raising my kids. I still have a long way to go, but so far, I have helped bring up two pretty incredible little people. As well, finding the courage to quit my job and become an entrepreneur, learning to balance work and family and finally experiencing the freedom I have always dreamed of.
Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
The Bread Company has the best Cheesecake in town! We like to go to Taki Japanese Grill because we can take the kids, sit in one of those booths, and close the curtain so other customers don’t have to watch in disgust when they see my three year old stick his chopsticks up his nose or fling food on the floor. That curtain has spared us a lot of embarrassment.
What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
My family loves to pack a picnic and hit up any beach access or park because eating outside, on a blanket, on the ground is just more fun.

What is your mission?
We envision a thriving local community with a strong, prosperous economy where bustling local shops and a vibrant downtown are filled with proud local shoppers, happy to support their friends and neighbours as they shop locally first.
Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Although we have completely different platforms, I believe KelownaNow is doing great things for our community, and local business owners as well.
What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
Exceptional care, we become personally invested in every business that joins our movement, and do everything we can to help them find the success they are looking for.
Forward thinking, our team is always evolving and improving to suit the needs of our businesses and the consumers.
Passion, we love what our platform.

Thank-you! For your dedication and commitment. We have the best team imaginable, and this journey would be impossible without you.
