Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
Moved to Kelowna just last year, so I'm brand new to Okanagan! I'm originally from Calgary.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Easy, my fiancée Marlo! She goes along with all my crazy ideas/ adventures and supports them wholeheartedly. We share a passion for travel and adventure. Finally, after 7 years, we will be tying the knot in September.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
I was recently introduced to Okanagan Lifestyle Apparel, absolutely love their brand and commitment to our community!

Describe yourself in one word.
Enthusiastic

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
The Philippines! I want to travel somewhere new and explore some of the more unknown islands and beaches.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Being out on the lake flyboarding! I love flying high and putting on a show for everyone on the water.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I've accidentally sent texts meant for my fiancée to personal training clients. Things get awkward fast when you use pet names...

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Recently, our last tenants did a "midnight move" on us, leaving the house an absolute nightmare. Feeling overwhelmed and taken advantage of, I ranted on Facebook. The number of people who reached out and offered to help in every way possible was absolutely amazing and inspiring.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
May Long Weekend camping in Banff. Sitting around a campfire freezing my bum off every year as it would always undoubtedly snow.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Back home in Calgary, I was a youth volleyball coach for years. I've always found coaching and mentoring to be super fulfilling. Being new to the Okanagan, I'll be looking for ways to get involved with coaching again.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The reliance and addiction to our phones and social media. Live and be in the moment!

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
I'm an extroverted individual and not a real big fan of alone time. If I needed to choose, it would be the gym or out on the lake

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Vandalism and trash of parks, trails, and buildings. We live in such a beautiful place, let's keep it that way.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The lifestyle, the weather, and the wine...

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1) Travel to more countries than I am years old
2) Become a certified cave diver
3) Donate Blood

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I volunteered for a sea turtle conservation group in Costa Rica for 3 weeks back in university.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Instagram @jordanflybro and @lakelifefitness Also at LakeLifeFitness.ca

What is the name of your business/organization?
Lake Life Fitness

Why did you get into/start this business?
I got into the fitness industry to share my knowledge and passion. As well as to become a coach and mentor for people looking to improve their lifestyles.

What is the goal of your business?
Our mission is to enhance lifestyles through fitness, nutrition, and accountability. Our focus is on developing lifelong habits for our clients that contribute to overall healthier lifestyles.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Learning to slow down and enjoy the present. I always seem to be thinking about the future.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
No regrets. Maybe deciding to move to Kelowna sooner!

What do you always find yourself saying?
"You should move to Kelowna!"

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
"Do what makes you happy! Life is too short for anything else."

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I would pick a full day with my fiancée, completely unplugged, unplanned with no distraction or responsibility.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It's important to me that we shop local to support our community and its members. Keeping the money in our community helps us to create a sustainable future.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
One accomplishment that I'm proud of was being invited to compete in the 2015 X-Dubai Flyboard World Cup in my first season. Also, after 2 years of trying to figure out this one movement, I became one of the first 5 people in the world to pull off a front.
