Melanie Morrissette is rebounding stronger than ever. After 2013 was a tough year for her personally, Melanie has found a peace and equilibrium and that is evident in her business, Abstract Fitness. Abstract makes a point of bringing fun to your fitness routine, so that you don't even notice that you are exercising. Melanie says that her clients can see a difference within a few weeks, feeling better with more energy. She hopes to pass on what she has learned through this year to help you bring balance to your life as well. Today Melanie and Abstract Fitness are In Focus.

People can tell right away that I'm not working but sharing my passion in health and fitness with them. It is important to me that everything that we do together has to be fun because then people forget that they are exercising. After a few weeks of exercising with me, my clients already feel better: With
more energy and they see a change in their bodies and they love it.
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Environment. I want us to ban plastic bags in Kelowna, in BC and in Canada. Accept only organic products and non-modified ones. Banish the use of pesticides. We need to protect our planet because we have only one.
If I could change 1 thing about Kelowna, it would be:
Ban plastic bags

Some general comments I would like to share are:
Life is good to all of us, it just depends on the way we take it. We all have karmas and challenges, it is our choice to work through them to enjoy life to the fullest or ignore them to have a miserable one. 2013 has been a journey; now I'm a happy woman who is at peace with myself. My enemies are now my friends and anger is no longer a word in my dictionary. I have decided to trust life again and live it to the fullest! Meditation and yoga have saved me and now I want to help you. Look on my website to participate in my meditation & yoga classes.
