PHOTOS: Women condemn Bill 62 in Quebec by tweeting scarf selfies

Following the controversial religious neutrality law that Quebec passed yesterday, women on social media are tweeting selfies to show the unfairness of the legislation.

Bill 62 will prevent anyone wearing face coverings, like niqabs and burkas, from accessing public services like transit.

These critics of the new law have pointed out one winter time necessity that they say shows the unjustness of the ban.

Tagging #Bill62, women are tweeting scarf selfies, pointing out that they’ve always been allowed on the bus while wrapped in winter clothing in Quebec.

So, um, are women like banned from going outside in winter in Quebec? #askingforafriend #bill62
