Thousands of Pop Cans Litter Alberta Highway After Crash

An accident on a major highway in Alberta left a large load of Pepsi cans strewn across the roadway.

Traffic was a slow go on the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEII) northbound when a truck hauling the soda pilled its cargo north of the Millet overpass, about 54 kilometres south of Edmonton.

The crash occurred Thursday afternoon between the semi and another vehicle.

STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched to the scene. There is no word on any injuries.

The northbound lanes were closed while RCMP investigated and crews worked to clean up the pop cans.
