Ashley Madison User Map Shows Where Cheating is Taking Place

A worldwide distribution map of Ashley Madison users has been compiled by a company called Malfideleco and it breaks down who is cheating and where.

The map includes the world wide distribution of users and the male to female ratio. The interactive map does not detail specific accounts nor individual identification, but rather what percentage of users are male and how many accounts are registered. The Spanish made Malfideleco map has taken the entire data dump and given users a visual of where the cheating is taking place.

According to the information previously released by the hackers, Impact Team, 90 to 95 per cent of the users on the adultery website are male, which is shown on the interactive map. The data dump is said to include information from approximately 30 million users, and shows a snapshot of infidelity throughout the world.

The map was created using the open platform tool CartoDB and is somewhat unsurprising as North America and Western Europe have the highest concentration of users. China, Russia, and Africa are largely free of Ashley Madison users, and worldwide most are men. The red dots on the map correspond to areas where over 85 per cent of users are male, the yellow dots show less than 85 per cent of male users.

In Kelowna there are a reported 11,613 users and 83.7 per cent are male. In West Kelowna there are only 96 users, 77 per cent are male. In Westbank there are 1,276 users, and 85.4 per cent are male. Peachland has 243 users, 85 per cent male. Summerland has 363 users, with 85 per cent male. Naramata has 46 users and 91 per cent of them are male. Penticton reports 2,208 users with 84 per cent male.

Okanagan Centre has a reported 29 users, but only 65.5 per cent are male. Vernon has 3,007 users of which 85 per cent are male. Lumby has 135 users and 91 per cent of them are male. Salmon Arm has a reported 931 users, 85 per cent male users. Further south in the Okanagan, there are a reported 244 users in Oliver, 82.7 per cent are male. Osoyoos has 245 users and 89.3 per cent are reportedly male.
