Kelowna life coach Beth Veenkamp recently released her debut e-book that promises to help you “Build a Better Year” for yourself in 2014.
“Build a Better Year: Twelve Months of Coach Yourself Exercises to Build Your Bliss” is a step-by-step guide designed to walk readers through the coming year in order to make sure they have a regret-free 2014.
“So many people approach the holiday season with a sense of impending doom because they’re stressed out trying to live up to the expectations that accompany the season, or they’re so attached to memories of Christmases past it becomes more a thing to endure than enjoy,” said Veenkamp. “December is also the time of year when we reflect on how fast another year went by. When we realize we didn’t do half the things we swore we were going to do differently, we start to feel pretty dissatisfied with ourselves, and that can be depressing.”
Veenkamp hopes her book will empower readers to leave the negativity and unrealistic expectations behind, by assisting them in taking charge of creating their happiness.
“Life happens – bad news, hard times, missed chances, bad luck – it’s how we deal with things that determines how happy we are,” she noted. “I teach people how to talk themselves down from whatever ledge they’re on, to build towards the things in life they really want, and stay focused during the hard times in order to achieve the desired result.”
