Following the recent downpour that has plagued areas of Texas, worms have taken to the more dry areas of the State, and apparently this mass movement is a normal reaction. Considering that Texas was hit with 35 trillion gallons of rain during the month of May, can we blame the poor worms?

According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Centre, it’s normal to see wildlife out of their normal environment, as they seek refuge post torrential downpour.

As to why they’re clumped in balls? It’s left a mystery.
