A boat crew with the U.S. Coast Guard were out on patrol for drug trafficking when they came across two sea turtles struggling for their lives after being tangled up in a heap of trash.
The crew then offered the sea turtles a helping hand, disentangling them from the trash piles.
The first turtle was easily rescued; however, the second turtle had a cord wrapped around its neck, and the cord was a bit tricky to pull off.
The Coast Guard had to heave the turtle out of the water and cut the string loose from its neck.
Luckily, both turtles were returned to their watery homes after only a few minutes of help.
