It was an expensive gathering for Hells Angels members in Quebec this weekend.

According to Quebec provincial police, more than 300 tickets were handed out during a Hells Angels biker gathering this weekend.

Most of the tickets were for minor road safety infractions, as police set up a checkpoint near Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, southeast of Montreal.

"The vast majority of individuals who participated in the event collaborated," said Guy Lapointe, police spokesperson.

While most of the infractions were minor, like riding without a helmet or riding on the shoulder, a 52-year-old from Ontario was arrested for uttering threats against a police officer.

Of 500 total people that passed through the checkpoint, about 300 were Hells Angels members who were in town for the biker gang’s Canada Run.

The annual event takes place in a different province each year.
