Bidding in this online auction helps lift local mamas out of poverty

Did you know over 500 mamas a month in our community don’t have enough money to feed their children nourishing food, provide shoes and clothing for their little ones and many struggle to just keep a roof over their heads?

So many of these mamas have experienced trauma in their lives, some may be trying to remove themselves from an abusive relationship and some have fallen on hard times.

That’s why the mission of Mamas for Mamas is to change the landscape of poverty through innovative approaches to financial barriers faced by struggling families, envisioning a future where no Mama or child is left behind.

How are they doing this? Well, one of the ways is with another incredible auction to raise money for their charitable operations!

By participating in their online auction, you’re helping them give a “hand up,” not a handout, to the most vulnerable women in our community.

The auction is live now, so make sure to head over to their website and check it out to get some incredible deals – and you can feel good while bidding on these wonderful local products knowing that you’re supporting local families in need.

Proceeds from the auction will help Mamas for Mamas aid mothers in crisis and provide ongoing support to low-income mamas and their children.

This year's auction offers a variety of exciting items, including an assortment of gift cards donated by local businesses, some excellent local clothing and accessories, exciting local experiences and even a Trixie Rayvolt E-Bike, of which there are only FOUR available in Canada!

You can view all of the items generously donated by Kelowna businesses and place a bid by clicking here.

You can also support the organization by purchasing a ticket to their Black Swan “Take off your Mask-eurade ball” on Saturday, Nov. 12th, presented by Doak Shirreff Lawyers LLP, here.
