It isn’t a pipe dream. It’s a reality at Rutland Medical Pharmacy.
What is holistic health care? It is considering all aspects of a person's health when addressing their needs, including mental, physical, emotional, and social aspects of health. Many pharmacies don't have the time to do this, but we make time because it is what our clients deserve.
“We are always learning, always growing, and always finding ways to expand our offering to ensure we provide the highest-quality care and service,” says pharmacy manager and owner Steven Hopp. “You will never feel rushed and you will have as much time as you need to talk to a pharmacist.”
"Everything we do at Rutland Medical Pharmacy is about people, including both staff and clients. They are all family. We believe in taking care of everyone. If we are all healthy and happy, we are more successful and our entire community will be better off."
"We love talking to and learning about people and their needs," says Steven. "Each interaction builds trust and a relationship. Our clients have learned that we will go above and beyond to solve any health-related problems they may have."
If your needs are not being met at your current pharmacy or you feel like you are just a transaction, try the team at Rutland Medical Pharmacy. You will feel valued and cared for. We appreciate every customer that comes to our counter or sits down in our counselling room. We believe it is a privilege to serve you.
Rutland Medical Pharmacy offers virtual care doctor's appointments, pharmacist prescribers, and vaccinations, including travel vaccines. The pharmacist-led walk-in clinic can diagnose and prescribe for a wide variety of ailments from shingles, yeast and urinary tract infections, skin rashes, eye infections, and allergy symptoms to fungal infections, heartburn, cold sores, and muscle pain. Pharmacists can also prescribe for birth control and emergency contraception, with no visit to the doctor and no appointment required.
“We will customize our care to your needs,” says Steven.
Rutland Medical Pharmacy has a strong relationship with the University of British Columbia (UBC), fostering a positive learning, teaching, team, and customer service environment with fourth-year pharmacy practicum students.
The most rewarding part of Steven’s job is getting to know his clients and seeing improvements in their health. “Seeing smiles on our clients’ faces and being told what a difference we have made makes us thankful for what we do,” sums up Steven.
