It's where you live that matters

Whether you were born in the Okanagan, relocated here with your family or decided on your own to live in paradise, you chose to call the Okanagan home for a reason. And whatever your reasoning may be, it's not hard to look around 'The Four Seasons Playground' and understand why so many Canadians and people around the world want to call the Okanagan their home too.

Depending on where you are in life, retirement has likely crossed your mind and although how you'll celebrate your time varies from person to person, one constant remains... it's where you live that matters and there are few options better than Lakeshore Place, a retirement home located steps away from Boyce-Gyro Beach Park.

No matter where you are in the world or in your life, Lakeshore Place is worth considering. It will provide you with a home alongside other like-minded independent and active seniors who wish to live near Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, BC.

The area is next to seemingly endless walking paths in either direction. One way can take you up through South Pandosy all the way to Kelowna's City Park and if you're feeling adventurous, that path will lead you to the Okanagan Rail Trail, which is perfect for walkers, runners, cyclists, bird watchers and hungry travellers too.

In the other direction, towards Gryo, the path will take you past Rotary Beach Park, where the ducks casually stroll past your resting spot on the beach or grass as if they're unbothered by you... and surely hoping you've brought enough snacks to share with them and if not, they won't bother you, they'll waddle on. However, if you do decide that you'd like to bring something to eat or share, you can shop at Save-on-Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, Marble Slab Creamery or even Shore Line Brewing, who, like many other grocers and restaurants, are all along the way.

If you continue past Rotary Beach Park, you'll come across the Manteo Resort Waterfront and Eldorado Marina, where no matter the time of day or night, it is beautiful.

The path then continues towards Kelowna's lower and upper Mission and again, if you're feeling up to it, Summerhill Pyramid Winery isn't too far away from your home (about a 5 to 10 min drive from Lakeshore Place). In the warmer months, which in Kelowna there are many, you'll see many cyclists sharing the road up and down towards the animals of CedarCreek Estate Winery.

With these many things to do right here in your neighbourhood, your retirement will certainly feel blessed to call it home. At Lakeshore Place, you're never alone and it gives you a home base to enjoy your retirement the way you envisioned it.

In comparison, many other retirement homes can't offer a lifestyle this close to home. Sure, you could live elsewhere, load up the vehicle and then travel whenever you wish to relax at a beach, go shopping or watch the sunset over Okanagan Lake, or you can consider the convenience that Lakeshore Place provides you in your retirement. The choice is yours.

If you do choose Lakeshore Place, this retirement resort is across the street from a robust collection of shops and services in an area that is growing and expanding to better enhance your lifestyle and then it will not be hard to admit that yes, it is where I live that matters.
