Need a little nudge to get into the Christmas spirit this year? The annual Wilden Christmas Light Contest is back, so bundle up and bring your family out to Wilden one of these nights and check out the lights!
Be sure to remember your favourite. Starting on Sunday, Dec. 16, each nominated Wilden contest home will be publicly shared to Wilden’s Facebook page. Let the voting begin! Vote by liking the photo of your favourite home - the three photos with the most likes will be the winners.
Only Wilden homes can be nominated and before some people get clever, the answer is no - Wilden residents can’t nominate their own home.
Also, only Wilden residents can nominate homes by sending a private message through Facebook or by emailing Johanna at johanna@kodiakbc.com with the address of the Wilden home, your own address and the names of the nominees if you happen to know them.
Not everyone can nominate, but everyone can like their favourite on Facebook to vote!
There will be maximum of 15 nominations until Dec. 12 at 11:59 p.m. If there are 15 before Dec. 12, then the entry period will be over early.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, Wilden’s photography team will drive through the neighbourhoods once it’s dark and take a photo of each nominated home.
Look for them on Wilden’s Facebook page the very next day, Dec. 16, to vote for your favourite one by liking the photo!
The three pictures with the most likes on Facebook by Dec. 22 at 11:59 p.m. will be the 2018 winners!
1st Place Prize: $200 gift card to Sparkling Hills Resort, two Wilden stainless steel mugs, a Wilden toque, some hot chocolate and a bottle of wine from Niche Wine Co.
2nd Place Prize: $100 gift card to Bouchons Bistro, two Wilden stainless steel mugs, a Wilden toque, some hot chocolate and a bottle of wine from Niche Wine Co.
3rd Place Prize: Two Wilden stainless steel mugs, a Wilden toque, some hot chocolate and a bottle of wine from Niche Wine Co.
