The CCTV images are of Salman Abedi on the night he was suspected to have detonated a bomb in Manchester Arena.
Since the terrorist attack on Monday night, Greater Manchester Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North West have been working closely with Britain’s national counter terrorism policing network on what continues to be a large scale and fast-moving investigation.
According to an update from the GM Police, the investigation is making good progress and they now think they know that a city centre flat was one of the last places Abedi went before heading to Manchester Arena. They also suspect that the flat was the location where the final assembly of the bomb took place.
In the past five days, the police have gathered significant information about Abedi, his associates, his finances, the places he has been and how the device was built.
In addition, the police have 14 locations that are still being searched and 13 people that have been arrested on suspicion of offences contrary to Britain’s Terrorism Act. In total, 17 warrants have also been issued mainly across Greater Manchester.
To this day, the entire GM Police team are working around the clock with over 1,000 people involved in the investigation alone. The investigation is still live and showing no signs of slowing down.
Last Monday, it is suspected that Abedi was responsible for detonating a bomb in Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande concert that resulted in 22 deaths and 119 people injured.
