The Master of Horror, Wes Craven, Has Died

Sad news from the entertainment world as writer and director Wes Craven has passed away at the age of 76.

Best known for the horror flicks “Nightmare on Elm Street”, “Scream”, and “The People Under the Stairs”, Craven died at his Los Angeles home on Sunday. Craven had been battling brain cancer and notice of his death came with a simple photo posted to his Twitter account.

Craven scared people all over the world as the director of 29 movies, most recently “Scream 4”. The industry veteran began leaving his mark in 1972 with “The Last House on the Left”. MTV, who worked with Craven on the Scream movie franchise, issued a statement about the director’s death.
