Canadian rockers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have announced they are separating after two years of marriage.
Lavigne, aged 30, made the announcement via Instagram stating that not only the marriage was over, but the musical collaboration between the two artists as well.
“We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other,” stated Lavigne.
Kroeger, the 40 year old lead singer of Nickelback, is Lavigne’s second husband. The Canadian singer-songwriter was married to Sum 41 lead singer Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010.
The couple had a quick courtship and were engaged after just six months together. They wed in July 2013 surrounded by around 50 family and friends.
