The MTV Video Music Awards, or better known as the VMAs happened on Sunday night. It’s an award show that features all the hottest celebrities.
Musicians are celebrated for their hard work and dedication and fans are treated to seeing what they’ll wear on the red carpet and what songs they will perform.
Last night fans clicked on MTV and they were not disappointed.
One woman who knocked it out of the park during the award ceremony was Beyoncé.
The singer won video of the year for Formation. During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé thanked her daughter Blue Ivy and her husband Jay Z for their continued support.
She also took home the best female video, best pop video, breakthrough long form video, best choreography, best direction, best cinematography and best editing.
The singer turned heads earlier in the night when she walked the carpet with Blue Ivy in two extravagant outfits.
Can you say fierce?
Another major moment of the night was Britney Spears.
That’s all… Britney’s back.
She showed up to the red carpet (it was actually white) wearing a fitted black dress with cut-outs in the front and back. She then made everyone’s jaw drop when she performed with G-Eazy.
The final woman who had people talking throughout the night was Rihanna.
Rihanna performed live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Not only did she perform, but she performed a medley of “don’t stop the music”, “only girl (in the world)”, “we found love” and “where have you been”.
She was also in the spotlight when Drake confessed his love for her. When Drake was introducing Rihanna, the winner of the Vanguard Award, the rapper told the audience that he’s been in love with Rihanna since he was 22-years-old.
Can anyone else hear the wedding bells?
All in all, the awards ceremony was everything and more for someone who is obsessed with Hollywood and the stars that live there.
