Music is a big part of Kelowna and our resident music enthusiast, Savannah Bagshaw, has made it a goal to learn more about the many talented musicians that grace Kelowna with their epic glory in a series of one on one video interviews.
23-year-old Folk singer, songwriter, and activist, Luke Wallace stopped by the KelownaNow office on Wednesday afternoon to chat with Savannah about his current tour, his inspiration, and to play us a track off his new record “An Opportunity”.
Wallace has spent his past years at UBC Vancouver getting his undergrad in Environmental Geography as well as doing conservation work. His passion for the environment is astounding for someone so young and he has found a way to convey his feelings to others, through his art.
Luke Wallace will be performing at UBCO Wednesday evening at 5:30 and will then be touring through the rest of beautiful British Columbia in his van where he will make more stops to play stripped down versions of some his most favourable tracks. To hear “An Opportunity” head to his website to preview or download this passion driven ‘folktivism’ album.
