OKM students ready to show off their hard work with production of Anything Goes

The staff and students of the Okanagan Mission Secondary School Triple Threat Theatre Company are ready to hit the stage and welcome Kelowna locals to their production of Anything Goes.

After close to nine months of preparations, more than 40 of OKM’s students are ready to show off what they have been working so hard on with the opening night of the production set for February 15th.

Though this production could not have happened without the faculty involved it’s the hard work and dedication of the students that makes this performance a must attend event.

“There's a stage building class to help with the sets, student volunteers who stay after school to work on lighting and sound cues and even some of the cast members do the choreography,” said Sydney Ingram, a student at OKM and the production's graphic design and marketing lead.

“Essentially the production is student run but with some support and guidance from our instructors,” said Ingram

Written in the 1930s, this comedic musical is sure to captivate audiences with its vintage feel.

“I think a lot of people will be really surprised because it's a high school play,” said Ingram.

“The cast and crew are all treated as young professionals and it really is a high-caliber performance that will likely surprise people with the sets, lighting and quality of the cast,” added Ingram.

Opening night for Anything Goes is February 15th and it will carry on through the week until the 19th.

If you can’t make any of the shows in the first week, there will also be some performances from February 22nd to 24th.

Tickets are on sale through the OKM Theatre, the SD 23 website and will also be available at the door.
