The Kamloops Film Society is kicking off its Fall Film series tonight, hot on the heels of the Toronto Film Festival that wraps up this weekend. Specially selected films play every Thursday at 7 p.m. at Paramount Theatre through to the end of October.
Part of the Toronto International Film Festival Circuit, the Kamloops Film Society tries to bring to the city films viewers might not otherwise see, with a focus on Canadian, independent and foreign-language films.
Tickets are $8 and are available at Movie Mart or online. Moviegoers also need a membership, which is good for one year and available for $2 at the door. It’s the same membership you need in order to attend the Kamloops Film Festival in March.
