Quentin Tarantino regrets not taking action with Weinstein

Hollywood director, Quentin Tarantino, has regrets about not taking action with Harvey Weinstein in his earlier directing days.

The producer-director relationship between Weinstein and Tarantino has been one of the most powerful teams in movie history.

The two worked together to make such films as Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight, DJango Unchained, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, and more.

After years of collaboration and a real-life friendship, Tarantino admitted to the New York Times, "I knew enough to do more than I did."

He told reporter, Jodi Kantor, that he knew some of the actresses who Weinstein had encounters with.

"I wish I had taken responsibility for what I heard," he stated. "If I had done the work I should have done then, I would have had to not work with him."

Tarantino recalled his then girlfriend, Mira Sorvino, telling him how Weinsten made unwanted advances and touched her. A few years later, another actress told Tarantino about a similar encounter. He also admitted to knowing that Rose McGowan had settled with Weinstein.

“There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip. It wasn’t secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things," he told Kantor.

It's been about two weeks since York Times reporter, Kantor, first broke the story of Harvey Weinstein and three decades of sexual harassment and paying out settlements to various actresses.

Over the years, TV personalities, and celebrities have alluded to Weinstein's reputation and joked about the 'casting couch.'

But up until October 5th, 2017, no one had officially come forward, on the record.

Now, the Hollywood bubble is cracking, as many celebrities are commenting on one of the oldest scandals in the history of film.
