Netflix has released some year-end data on what was watched the most this year and there are certainly some interesting tidbits.
Users consumed around 140 million hours of Netflix a day around the world, which equals one billion hours per week and more than 50 billion hours in the calendar year.
The biggest streaming day was also the first day of the year, which isn’t a huge surprise with 90% of the world dealing with New Year’s hangovers.
In the infographic, Netflix revealed four top-10 lists that show which shows were watched the fastest, the slowest, alone and with family.
American Vandal took the cake as the show users devoured the quickest.
It was followed by 13%, 13 Reasons Why, Anne With An E and Riverdale.
The Crown topped the list of shows that were savoured, or took longer to finish, which is an interesting stat because it was just released in early December.
Also in the top five of most savoured shows was Big Mouth, Neo Yokio, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Glow.
When it comes to shows that people watched but couldn’t wait to watch with their significant other, Narcos was the most popular.
Rounding out that top five were 13 Reasons Why, Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black and Sense8.
Finally, Netflix revealed the shows that were most watched as a family.
That list was headed by Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Star Trek Discovery and Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.
