Learn to ski or snowboard for $25: Never Ever Days back at Big White this weekend

A popular Big White initiative is making its highly-anticipated return after a two-season hiatus.

Big White Ski & Snowboard School is bringing back Never Ever Days and the first of four sessions this winter is coming up on Saturday.

The concept is simple: For just $25, new riders aged 19 and up will get a beginner area lift ticket, a full day of ski or snowboard rentals and a pair of two-hour lessons from Big White instructors.

Michael Richards, director of Big White Ski & Snowboard School, says it’s always exciting to learn a new sport at such an attractive cost for young people.

“Participating in the national program Never Ever Days is a fantastic way for new skiers or snowboarders to meet the challenges of learning a new sport with the guidance from our professionals,” he explained.

“Soon enough, they’ll be tackling top-of-mountain runs and really experiencing the life-long enjoyment of sliding on snow.”

After Saturday, Big White will have three more Never Ever Days this season. One is scheduled for Feb. 11 and the other two dates are yet to be determined.

Registrants are advised to bring warm mitts or gloves, goggles, a jacket and pants, along with other warm layers you’d typically wear skiing, along with a credit card and photo ID.

You can register to take part in Never Ever Days by calling 250-491-6101 or emailing
