“One of the best days at Big White Ski Resort ever and I’ve been here since 1985.”
That’s how Michael J. Ballingall, the senior vice-president at Big White, described the wedding of Kelsey Serwa.
The Okanagan-based Olympic gold medallist married fellow professional skier Stan Rey on Saturday, and of course the wedding was held at Big White.
“Thank you Big White for providing the most beautiful of backdrops for all of our wedding activities, including a ride up that Bullet Express chair,” Serwa, who is now Kelsey Rey, wrote on her professional Facebook page.
“It was all so magical.”
The 30-year-old retired from professional skiing back in July, just over a year after she won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
