According to the recall, the casting that attaches the exhaust port to the hand tool may break causing the exhaust port to detach, posing a risk of injury.

As of March 21st, 2017, the company has received five reports of the exhaust port detaching in Canada, including one report resulting in minor injury.

Approximately 25,762 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

The recalled product was sold in Canada from 2009 to March 2011.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Mastercraft Nailer and return the product to their local Canadian Tire store for a refund.
