The first visuals have been released for a proposed downtown Kelowna condo.
The project, located on the northwest corner of Ellis Street and Lawrence Avenue, features 116 condominiums within a 20-storey high-rise building.
Mission Group released the first images of the planned development on Wednesday, with plans to open the Presentation Centre this fall.
The design was specifically done so that all homes inside the building would have unobstructed views of the lake, mountains or city.
This means the residential homes will start on level six of the building, with parking below them from levels two through five and retail outlets on the ground floor.
With a walk score of 97%, there aren’t many better locations in Kelowna to live, which is one of the biggest draws.
“There is real excitement around this new development because it will give people an opportunity to live where there has been very limited opportunities in the past,” said Luke Turri, Vice President of Development at Mission Group. “There has been very dynamic shift in Kelowna’s downtown in recent years as the variety of public and private investments in the Bernard district had created a very desirable hub.”
The Mission Group bought the property back in February for $2.6 million.
A development permit application is expected to be submitted to the Kelowna’s City Council before the end of July.
